I have received negative feedback from my manager because of my work being done with and for other departments or the agency, even when those efforts are being done prioritizing my work with Early Childhood and some are done on my personal time (example of the preparation for the bike ride). During my time in Latino Network I have reached out to other departments to collaborate, I care a lot about the growth of the agency and I want to be able to propose more things to see us be better every day. I go above and beyond to be the best person and professional I can be and do the best for the community. I have executed all my work with excellency and have delivered several projects and designs, exceeding what was demanded or described on my job description. The requested accommodations included support, changes, solutions because I want to be able to give my best to what I do and I do want to serve the community, but I constantly hit walls when my manager shuts me down inexplicably, by canceling my work after I’ve already done it, not replying to my emails or just replying with phrases like "not everything can be done as you want" or “I want to see what happens if we don’t do what you wants”, without giving other solutions or explanations or responding to my emails (one of my accommodation asks has been to provide me with written instructions and answers). I constantly feared asking for more support or accommodations for my disability because I knew that I will receive retaliation for that. My manager constantly discriminated me because of my mental disability and special needs. I filled a case of discrimination and retaliation and HR completely gaslighted me. Many uneducated and unprepared people making decisions. No opportunities for growth if you are not friends with the right directors.
